We were looking for a marketing tool that would allow us to have a lot of contacts and we found that GreenRope was a great solution. GreenRope is priced for the number of contacts we can have in our system. I also like the ability to track and update contacts and the ability to integrate with our CRM. We run our pipeline report through this software and we are able to track sales conversions.

  • The system isn't very intuitive to use.
  • It is highly customization, as a result, has a steep learning curve. It is more than just a casual CRM system.
  • I've also had some challenges exporting data.
It is very feature-rich which can be a good thing, but all those features are not very intuitive and take time to learn. As I mentioned, the platform is customizable but adds complexity to the software. If you want just a simple CRM system or just send out blast emails than GreenRope is probably overkill for you. I think it is more aimed at B2B than casual users.

GreenRope is being used by our sales department. Being a small company we were looking for an integrated software that simplifies sales and marketing. It is an all in one CRM software that includes website landing pages and integration with other applications and analytics.

  • The only thing I can say is that it has so many features that I do not think I have had the time to use and evaluate. I think I am probably missing out of a lot of great features.
  • GreenRope has many email templates but seem to be directed to specific industries like retail, restaurants, etc. Would like to see more email templates.
GreenRope is a very comprehensive CRM Software. GreenRope is consistently adding new features to engage your customers and prospects. At times it can be very intimidating for first-time users with all of its features but GreenRope offers many webinars to assist in learning how to use the software and features.

We were using Goldmine prior to transitioning to GreenRope. The cost of Goldmine was the main reason we went looking for another CRM software and discovered that Goldmine at the time did not have some of the features of GreenRope and the price was just right.

GreenRope is being used as our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. GreenRope puts together many aspects we need for email automation, drip campaigns, email tracking, website opt-in forms and such, all in one place. There's much more that GreenRope can do for us as well, with conversion tracking and even brand reputation that we haven't even touched on yet. The system is growing with us - as we find a need, GreenRope already has a module in place to help us with it.
  • GreenRope provides a full-featured application at ALL pricing levels. You don't have to 'upgrade' to get better features - you've got them all right away. I really appreciated this!
  • GreenRope doesn't charge per user (i.e., administrator of the system). Other systems require additional fees when adding administrators to your account. GreenRope makes it easy for me to get help with the CRM by adding more of my people, without adding multiple fees.
  • Customer Service at GreenRope rocks! They really want to help you get started well. The training and set-up calls are fantastic. For any support issues that have come up (usually newbie questions!) I've always received a prompt response. I can't say enough about their support.
  • There are many ways for me to customize my data sets, for management and segmentation of contacts, specific to my industry and business needs.
  • Dashboard customization - as a visual learner, the presentation of information on my screen is important to me, and GreenRope allows me the ability to customize colours, icons, and sizes of things in my dashboard. This is helpful for my creativity and productivity.
  • As we've never used a full-featured CRM before, there was a pretty steep learning curve on how to get our data in and working for us. The training GreenRope provides is helpful, but the user interface still took me a while to wrap my head around.
  • One assumption made during GreenRope setup was that we'd be relying heavily on a custom GreenRope website. We primarily want to keep all of our traffic on our current site, so there was a bit of confusion to begin with.
  • GreenRope is heavy on the marketing side of things (sales leads, conversions, etc...) which is excellent, but a bit overwhelming when we just wanted to get in and get started with a simple email drip campaign with some email tracking. We're leaning, though, and appreciate GreenRope's continued efforts to bring us up to speed on the marketing stuff.
The price point and full featured application of GreenRope makes it perfect for small and medium sized businesses. GreenRope is an excellent alternative to some of the higher priced, better known CRM systems (Infusionsoft, AWeber, Ontraport, etc.). If you have specific requirements for your industry or business, GreenRope support will help to ensure that you get set up properly with what you need.

  • GreenRope has allowed for better followup after training workshops and other events we attend. Drip campaigns let us drop someone into a campaign very easily and have the system do the follow-up.
  • Having a full-featured system at our low price point (for a lower contact count) is extremely beneficial. We learn what we're doing, and implement it, instead of having to add-on and learn new things at every upgrade level. This improves the efficiency of our non-billable time (time working for ourselves rather than our clients).

GreenRope really got our attention because it's a full featured system at every price point. We are a small business with a small budget - but we wanted a system that would still let us think BIG! The setup fee was within for our budget, and the monthly fee is very reasonable. GreenRope also allows us to customize the data we collect in the CRM, and to segment it specific to our needs. And the customer support with GreenRope has been fantastic from the beginning. The staff is very personable and genuine. Sales people, technical specialists, and marketing geniuses have all helped us to get setup the way we needed to. That personal touch made a big difference in our decision as well.

Mostly I'm spending time helping my assistants to be able to learn new tasks on Greenrope. I train them on how to use the user interface and the rationale behind the work flow we are building. Once they are familiar with the UI, then it becomes easier to understand how to accomplish our goals.

Right from the beginning, GreenRope's staff have been extremely helpful with getting us setup and answering all of our questions. In addition to chat support, the documentation provided within GreenRope itself is detailed and easily accessible. GreenRope is also really good about letting you know that they are available - and how to contact them. My questions/requests are answered quickly, every time.

Had a bug with the Gmail extension. GreenRope worked harder on it than I cared to. I mean to say that they were quite keen to find a solution and I'm the one who kinda let it drop. My GreenRope widget still isn't working with my Gmail, but it hasn't effected how I use GreenRope. It hasn't bothered me at all that it was not officially 'resolved'.

We are using GreenRope to manage drip campaigns, customer lists and sales calls; sign up widgets and create small information web sites etc. Everyone in my company is using this product and it is a time saver. It keeps all of our contact data current, manages our marketing and allows our small team to collaborate on projects easily.
  • I love the drip campaigns - now that I have the hang of how to set them up
  • Lead management is another song suit of GreenRope
  • Keeping my team on the same page with workflows and wikis is also another strong advantage of GreenRope
  • There is nothing I would change about GreenRope so far, it's a steep learning curve.
I highly recommend GreenRope to anyone with a small business who needs to leverage their time.

  • It's early days for me but my very first widget had 40 people sign up for my Event Coordinators group.

I looked into both of the programs mentioned above and I truly appreciate the initial costs and training of GreenRope - the program is in my personal opinion much stronger that either of the two mentioned above and less threatening to get started with.
My web mistress has been creating forms for downloads and sign ups, I am using it for marketing to businesses and I have a data entry clerk using it for creating work flows and wikis
Very little skill is required and what you do need is taught to you by way of webinars and the huge data base of support tutorials. Their online support is wicked good!

We started by getting clear about what we wanted to accomplish with the use of the system, broke our business and its needs into segments and we are now implementing the system one segment at a time. We created the emails first, the creative images etc next, the sign up widgets and then the web pages. Once those things were accomplished we then set up our drip campaigns. The first one launches later today and I will update how it works from there!
  • Creation of the web pages is not easy if you are non technical. The support staff is usually on hand though to walk you through challenges. There are issues with the mobile page builders and learning which widget sizes to use so that things display properly, but once you figure out the little quirks, it works very well.
  • Getting clear about what we wanted our campaigns to accomplish was a big challenge.
  • Learning the power and limitations of the tools is important. Taking as much training as you can when you have never used a system this powerful before is very important to achieving success.
I think there are some cheat sheets and best practises lists that could be created that would save a business a lot of time and frustration.
BUT, even as it is, the frustrations and challenges disappear as things start working. I am going to be offering up a few of the tricks I have learned to the team at GreenRope to share with other users because when customers offer valuable work arounds that they find helpful to others, we accomplish a few things. The coders get an idea of things that aren't working quite as expected so they can look into fixes, other customers get benefit and we all win!
  • Many of the functions inside of Greenrope are very easy to use like the widget creator, the email creator and the calendar.
  • The web site builder is, so far, the most challenging thing to use. It has some quirks to it. For example, if you are using the responsive templates never use the standard widget maker, always go of the narrow one or your sign up form will not display properly, it will be cut off. Image handling is another challenge as the resize side of the media gallery pixelates images, however the resize inside of the main text wysiwyg editor works perfectly and as expected. If you are not a very technical person, this can be a bit daunting, however the support staff are quite quick to help you. The coders are also excellent at responding to the customers needs.
Yes, but I don't use it
It takes time to learn this system. It is not going to happen over night, but once you master it it will be worth it. I am already seeing some great results, all I have to do is keep learning.

GreenRope is used by our Executive, Marketing and Sales teams primarily. It addresses several tasks in our day to day activities. All contacts are stored and processed through various sales phases from New Contact to Sold. All client online activity is tracked: email, social media, and website visits; giving us indicators on their interest level. We use the Email Marketing features weekly or even more often at times. We can track our emails, find our hot prospects, watch the forecast of business graphs and make decisions based on all the data that GreenRope provides from our initiatives.
  • Email Marketing. Easy to use, easy to send, easy to track all help in our forecasting for future implementations. Place clients on drip email campaigns that are automatic and give the client more information that they are seeking. Email broadcasts such as newsletters or weekly updates, success stories etc are shared to our 20,000 contacts at the click of a button. All are trackable too. We can see who is reading, clicking or unsubscribing right from within GR's email tracking features.
  • Web tracking. Our website is integrated with GR, so we can see all data pertaining to visitors, the pages visited, time spent at our site/pages and much more without going through our host. If a visitor is a contact/client within our system the web activity is listed in their files within their CRM of GR, If they are not a known contact than we know how many random people are visiting our website too.
  • Sales Team work flow. All of our sales reps have a work flow to follow within GR. As an Executive I can see which phase all clients are in at any time. I can go into a particular contact and read the history of any client I wish. This feature also helps us when a sales rep is on vacation, sick or leaves the company. That gives us the ability to pick up right where they left off with accurate records of communication right within GR. We effectively work with the client going forward. Also, sales reps can set reminders and log client activity. We have been able to realize when a sales rep is not working (our sales team works from their homes) or working on their reminders, going MIA for days at a time, you know what I;m saying. With that information we can address the situation in a timely way, conversing with the sales rep and decide how to proceed with any reprimands or the overall business relationship.
  • Sign Up forms and Website integration. With GR we have implemented several trackable sign up forms that are functional through our website or email. For instance on our website, visitors can sign up for our newsletter or an online tour of our services by filling out the form. From their we receive the form and begin the work flow. We can set automatic responders to any email or call to action that a visitor makes. If one fills out a form, we can place those visitors, clients, users on applicable drip email campaign/s pertaining to their interest/activity on our website or email call to actions. Those potential clients are now getting automatic emails/further attention that they desire. They often end up being sold clients. Emailed forms such as our Team Up forms get our clients to sign up for our services online. They can pay their start up fees online through our payment system or by sending us a check as that form has a sequence of followed events once it is filled out by the new client.
  • Email templates are sometimes tricky to use or customize. We have made several requests for changes and enhancements that have often been implemented by the GR development team.
  • Often times we want to send a specific email to our clients in the awaiting decision phase. We don't have to ability to select them all and send them 1 broadcast email. Instead we have to go into each clients within that phase and send them the email individually. That becomes cumbersome and time consuming on our sales team.
I would find out if the benefits of GreenRope are what you're looking for. We heavily researched companies offering an online cloud style CRM; GreenRope was the best fit for our needs.
  • GR has made our company much more organized from client details/history, sales work flow, email campaigns, website tracking and lead conversions.
  • We have grown our business 60% in the last 12 months. GR definitely helped us reach that growth.
  • Prior to GR we did everything the old fashioned way. I don't have anything to compare it to because we had no prior experience with another CRM provider. I can say that I am truly happy with our progress in GR and learning the program was pretty easy.
  • I evaluated Salesforce which was way too expensive for my small company. There were a couple others that I looked int who's names escape me now.
We chose GreenRope.com because they were the best fit. We already had a marketing email strategy with Constant Contact so choosing a CRM with those capabilities was very important when making our decision. Everything we were already doing could be in 1 place instead of needing to login to several different outlets to reach our goals and objectives. For example, email marketing (Constant Contact), website tracking (our Host), client tracking (spreadsheets), Calendars (Outlook), etc. Now we do everything, email marketing, track leads, have a work flow, track website visitors, post events and forecast all with 1 login. It's great!!
